Quantum compilation of standard code

			    Paolo Zuliani

Abstract: In this talk we shall address the problem of compiling
high-level standard (classical) code to a lower level quantum hardware
architecture. The problem arises when one decides to use classical
code on a quantum computer, so that code can run on a superposition of
states. We solve the problem in the framework provided by qGCL, a
high-level imperative language for classical and quantum
computation. In particular, we shall give quantum implementations of
the standard conditional and loop. We also show how this work fits
into a more general effort of providing a high-level compiler for
qGCL.
