Overview

The second lesson provides a more detailed presentation of the three data domains of Intel® Integrated Performance Primitives, that is, Intel IPP for signal processing, Intel IPP for image processing, and Intel IPP for operations on small matrices.

The three domains include distinct functional groups that fit into the respective domain definition: operations on one-dimensional data (IPPS), operations on two-dimensional data (IPPI), and operations on small matrices.

There is also a fourth set of Intel IPP functions that includes primitive functions for cryptography operations (IPPCP). Structurally these functions belong to the signal processing domain and thus keep the "ipps" prefix in their names. However, these functions are are singled out as a separate set for user convenience.
