Surplus Books and Journals
We have a fairly large amount of printed material in the mathematical sciences
and some other sciences available for sale or donation. Proceeds go towards
library collections. These materials consist of
- duplicate books and journal issues not needed by the library,
- books and journals donated by faculty and others and not needed by the
library,
- a large number of recent but out-of-print textbooks at all levels, from
pre-university to upper-year, and
- a number of older textbooks from the 60's onwards (with some still older).
About once a year there is a two-day book sale in the Chase Building;
otherwise, the textbook part of these materials can be viewed in Room 107
(please contact Karl Dilcher beforehand). The annual Killam Library booksale
(usually in early October) may also be of interest.
The following lists are now available; they may not be complete.
More materials will be listed here in the future.
For more information, please write to the Department Library Representative
(Karl Dilcher) at (dilcher@mscs.dal.ca).
