SESSION #6, Mon. Oct. 24/11. This will be our last SESSION. Thanks to everyone for participating.

SESSION #6 We will:

(a) Complete TOPIC #2. Famous easy-to-understand problems – and their uses

(b) Explore TOPIC #9. Geometry and art and topology as well as TOPIC #10. Fractals and Mandelbrot sets

(c) Have another look at Diana's interesting application of mathematics to rowing.

(d) Briefly review each TOPIC again and hopefully spend a few minutes finishing off

TOPIC #3. The simplest ideas in probability and finance (gambling, risk management, compound interest, life insurance, futures, etc.)
