Final Exam.

The median was 40.5. I used the following curve (out of 63 points):
62:A+
50:A
45:A-
42:B+
37:B
34:B-
31:C+
26:C
23:C-
12:D
9:D-
0:E

Homework.

I used the following curve for the homework (out of 25%):
24.5:A+
23.25:A
22.5:A-
20.0:B+
17.5:B
15.0:B-
12.5:C+
10.0:C
7.5:C-
5.0:D
2.5:D-
0:E
The median was 21.7.

Your Grade.

Here are the details of how I calculated the course grades. First, I have calculated a numerical score based on 25% homework, 20% for each midterm, and 35% for the final exam. This score has been assigned a letter grade according to the following curve (out of 100%):
98:A+
85:A
78:A-
72:B+
64:B
57:B-
51:C+
43:C
35:C-
21:D
13:D-
0:E
This is the minimum grade you got in the course. In some cases, I have raised this grade, based on individual parts of the course that a person did well in. For instance, your grade might have been raised because of your homework. Also, everybody got at least the grade for the course that they got on the final exam.

Please let me know if you have a question. Your final exams are available for pickup after April 24.
